 Our first stop - Bamberg Cathedral or the Cathedral of St. Peter and St. George

Construction on this Cathedral was completed in 1237.

Every cathedral needs its own water well. Most had them as well as the castles and royal residences.
You could not run down to the corner store for a bottle of water when you were under siege.
