An interesting note is that Ecuador uses US paper currency.
They also use our $1.00 coin and our penny. They have their own nickel, dime, quarter and half dollar but I also saw
a large amount of these US coins in circulation. All of their goods were priced in US dollars so it made shopping really easy.
