We took a day trip to the Ecuadorian Rain Forest.  Beautiful scenery, birds and flowers.  We made special stops at an orchid farm and a butterfly conservatory.

These are generak views of the rain forest taken as we drove through

I was able to photograph some birds; however they were not nearly as tame as those on the Galapagos.  Had to use a telephoto and this is where my CP filter
really messed up the focus SO they are not really great photos
.

Our final stop was at an Orchid Ranch where we also had lunch.  The Ranch claimed to have over 1000 different species of Orchids
I don't doubt it as every where we turned that was a different one.  Some large and some tiny including what was claimed to be the World's smallest.

Yup, this is what is advertised as the World's smallest Orchid.  It's definitely little.  Look at the size of the guy's hand.
