A view of our smaller river boat. Actually this
is a sister boat carrying another contingent of our tour. The French Canadians perhaps? We came across this "house boat" with a happy family aboard.
Don't know if they were on a outing or living there. Obviously the boat has been around for a while. Note the exposed flywheel on the ancient diesel engine. Obviously we were also getting our photo taken An official sign warning of bear, monkeys, alligator, snakes or just pointing the way to the toilet?
and some graffiti high up on the cliff. Have no idea what either may say. If anyone remembers, please let
me know and I will add it.
Spotted this cave on the cliff. On closer inspection it is obvious that it has been improved. Is someone living in it? Obviously these riverside dwellings are inhabited. Perhaps by those that wanted to remain on the river rather than be relocated into beehive relocation apartments. Obviously both were happy. One set waving and the other playing a trumpet for us. It is impossible to depict in photos the massiveness of the cliffs that surrounded up on this side trip up Longman Gorge. |
